Open quantum systems in thermal nonergodic environments

چکیده
The dynamics of an open system crucially depends on the correlation function its environment, $C_B(t)$. We show that for thermal non-Harmonic environments $C_B(t)$ may not decay to zero but offset, $C_0>0$. presence such offset is determined by environment eigenstate structure, and whether it fulfills or thermalization hypothesis. Moreover, we a $C_0>0$ could render weak coupling approximation inaccurate prevent thermalize. Finally, realistic dye molecules, emergence using matrix product states (MPS), discuss link 1/f noise spectrum that, in contrast previous models, extends frequencies. Thus, our results be relevant describing dissipation quantum technological devices like superconducting qubits, which are known affected noise.

Multipartite quantum correlations in open quantum systems
In this paper, we present a measure of quantum correlation for a multipartite system, defined as the sum of the correlations for all possible partitions. Our measure can be defined for quantum discord (QD), geometric quantum discord or even for entanglement of formation (EOF). For tripartite pure states, we show that the multipartite measures for the QD and the EOF are equivalent, which allows ...
متن کاملTransitionless quantum driving in open quantum systems
We extend the concept of superadiabatic dynamics, or transitionless quantum driving, to quantum open systems whose evolution is governed by a master equation in the Lindblad form. We provide the general framework needed to determine the control strategy required to achieve superadiabaticity. We apply our formalism to two examples consisting of a two-level system coupled to environments with tim...
متن کاملTunneling in open quantum systems
Processes involving quantum tunneling can be found in a huge variety of physical and chemical systems, ranging in length from the mesoscopic scale of a few microns to the subatomic scale of a few fermi. It has been realized already three decades ago that thereby the interaction of the tunneling degree of freedom with environmental degrees of freedom plays a crucial role. Namely, any realistic d...
متن کاملEntanglement in Open Quantum Systems
Quantum entanglement is considered to be a central resource of quantum information processing: entanglement is a key ingredient in quantum teleportation [1], and is used to perform conditional two-qubit operations, which are primordial for running a quantum algorithm [2]. There is a large body of literature on the abstract, rather mathematical theory of entanglement [3], of pure as well as of m...
متن کاملScarring in open quantum systems.
We study scarring phenomena in open quantum systems. We show numerical evidence that individual resonance eigenstates of an open quantum system present localization around unstable short periodic orbits in a similar way as their closed counterparts. The structure of eigenfunctions around these classical objects is not destroyed by the opening. This is exposed in a paradigmatic system of quantum...
